Overview

Mango is a personal finance tracking app that helps you record, categorize, and understand your spending. By using the Mango application and related services (the "Services"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms").

At a Glance: We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not store your uploaded images — they are processed only to extract expense information and immediately deleted. You own your data, and we use it only to provide the Services to you.

1. Key Definitions

  • "Services": The Mango iOS app, web application, and related features.
  • "User Data": Your account information and financial data you enter or upload.
  • "Uploaded Content": Images, receipts, screenshots, or files you upload for processing.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
  • By using Mango, you represent that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

3. Your Data

3.1 Data Ownership

You own your data. We do not claim ownership of the financial information you enter or the content you upload. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit your data solely to operate the Services.

3.2 Image Processing

When you upload an image (such as a receipt or screenshot), we process it to extract expense information. Images are not stored. They are sent to our processing service, data is extracted, and the image is immediately deleted. Only the extracted transaction details are retained in your account.

3.3 No Data Sales or Training

  • We do not sell your data to anyone.
  • We do not use your data or uploaded images to train AI models.
  • We do not share your financial data with advertisers.
  • We do not use your data for any purpose other than providing the Services to you.

3.4 Security and Encryption

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your financial information.

3.5 Data Deletion

You can delete individual transactions at any time. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at hello@veritable.dev.

4. The Services

4.1 What Mango Does

Mango allows you to:

  • Manually enter expenses and transactions;
  • Scan receipts and documents to extract expense data;
  • Chat to add expenses naturally;
  • Categorize and review your spending;
  • Sync your data across devices in real-time.

4.2 Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, automated extraction from images may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any extracted data before approving it.

4.3 No Financial Advice

Mango is a tracking tool, not a financial advisor. We do not provide investment, tax, legal, or other professional financial advice. Consult a qualified professional for financial decisions.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose;
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services;
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code;
  • Upload malicious content or files.

6. Intellectual Property

Mango and its licensors retain all rights in the Services, app design, software, and related intellectual property. You retain ownership of your data.

7. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you within the app or by email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you can request export or deletion of your data.
